Alex and Chris Made Beautiful Memories

Alex and Chris were joined together in marriage on March 11th, 2017 at Our Lady of the Pillar in St. Louis, Missouri. What a beautiful backdrop this church made with all of the stunning marble appointments. Even more stunning was our Bride, Alex. She graced the aisle on the arm of her father, wearing a lovely Morilee by Madeline Gardner wedding dress in ivory and light gold with a ball gown silhouette and a v-neckline and back and sheer lace straps that she found at The Bridal Shoppe. She met her Groom at the altar, who was smashing in his black tux with a champagne vest and bowtie that he acquired from Men’s Wearhouse. Surrounding them were bridesmaids who were dressed in coordinating colors in wine and petal pink by designer Bill Levkoff, all found at The Bridal Shoppe, and groomsmen who sported black tuxedos with wine colored vests and bowties, all found at Men’s Wearhouse. What a great looking group!
The Bridal Bouquet was a glorious arrangement of marsala, ivory, and blush toned flowers provided by Roses and Mint.

Father Bob Jones performed a touching wedding ceremony, uniting this special couple with the promise and vows of marriage. Wedding rings were exchanged, which were bought at Shane Co., and the Bride was kissed! We had Newlyweds! You know what that means! It is time to celebrate!

The party moved to a beautiful chateau in the middle of France…not really! But it was in the middle of Pacific, Missouri right off of Historic Route 66 at an impressive venue, Silver Oaks Chateau. What made this venue more striking than it already is was the snow that had fallen that day, dusting the tree branches and ground with a glistening white beauty. It made for spectacular videography, of course by our company, Applause Weddings, and photography by Jason Winkeler Photography. The drone camera footage we videographed is spectacular, as you can see in the highlight video posted here.

Our Newlyweds danced into the venue, and then Alex’s dad, Thomas gave a wonderful toast to Alex and Chris, and it sounded like he has had plenty of practice being that he has five daughters! Maid of Honor, Casey and Best Man, David, followed with their toasts to Our Couple and then the festivities began!
Alex and Chris chose wine, blush, champagne and gold for the décor of the venue. The tables sparkled with centerpieces in gold mercury glass, fresh flowers, candles and lanterns.

A delightfully decorated four tier wedding cake had it all! Under its white frosting and fresh flower décor was a delicious almond cake with raspberry jam filling and chocolate cake with salted caramel filling, magnificently done by Kaked by Katie. The Groom’s Cake was strawberry cake with chocolate and vanilla filling. A bit of cake smashing happened to the faces of Our Newlyweds during the cake cutting, but who wouldn’t want this delectable goodness smeared on their face?

A scrumptious dinner was provided by Ces & Judy’s. After bellies were full, the dancing began! Chris and Alex danced to “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur”, the Father and Bride Dance was to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts, and the Mother and Groom Dance was to “A Mother’s Song” by T. Carter Music. These dances create such special memories!

Queue music for the Bouquet and Garter Toss for more memories!

Everybody on the dance floor and boogie your heart out and have a great time celebrating! More memories!

It really is about the memories. That is why having a wedding and reception professionally videographed and edited is so very important. After months of planning, the stress, and the hard earned money spent for this one extraordinary day, it only makes sense to have the events documented to cherish forever! I am sure Alex and Chris are so glad they chose to do so!

Mr. and Mrs. Friedman, thank you for making Applause Weddings part of your memories!
